Grit Ohio

Project REACH

We are excited to share our Project REACH initiative here at Future Plans Inc. The project is funded under the Appalachian Regional Commission Inspire resource. This project is built to help three specific initiatives of reentry in Pike, Scioto, and Jackson counties. Our focus is to collaborate with the local treatment providers, workforce agencies and reentry staff to support individuals in successfully entering the workforce.

Who We Are

The GRIT Project is your community supporting YOU for a better tomorrow.

The GRIT project (Growing Rural Independence Together) is a collaborative approach to build a high-demand workforce and stimulate economic growth.

The coalition leverages local, state, and federal dollars by bringing organizations together such as OhioMeansJobs, common pleas and drug courts, K-12 school systems, community colleges and universities, economic and developmental agencies (JobsOhio/APEG), Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, drug treatment providers, businesses, and other not-for-profit agencies. With a focus on developing local solutions, we’ve proven that together, remarkable things happen!

GRIT provides a career assessment that will assist in finding the right candidate for job placement. We can also provide your business with access to the career assessment.

GRIT can provide training for businesses to help retain employees.

“The U.S. Department of Labor established The Federal Bonding Program in 1966 to provide Fidelity Bonds for “at-risk,” hard-to-place job seekers. The bonds cover the first six months of employment at no cost to the job applicant or the employer.
