Whiteoak High School Breaks Ground on Remote Learning Workforce Development Center

On a bright and hopeful spring day, students, educators, business leaders, elected officials, and community members gathered at Whiteoak High School to celebrate the official groundbreaking of a brand-new Remote Learning Workforce Development Center.

This innovative new space — made possible through support from the Future Plans program and the GRIT Project — will offer students expanded opportunities to explore career pathways, gain real-world workforce skills, and connect with training and education in high-demand fields.

From dual credit coursework to industry credentialing and virtual career exploration, the building will serve as a launchpad for the futures of Whiteoak students and a powerful resource for the greater community.

“This building represents more than just bricks and mortar — it’s a symbol of opportunity,” said a GRIT team member. “We’re proud to stand alongside Whiteoak as they invest in the future of their students.”

The GRIT and Future Plans teams are excited to continue supporting Whiteoak High School and its students as this project takes shape — and even more excited for the day when students begin to walk through its doors, ready to learn, grow, and move up.
